Seamless Thermal Protection & Air Control
Spray Foam Insulation Service in Azusa, CA
At ELM Insulation and Sound Solutions, we recently completed a spray foam insulation project in Azusa. The homeowner wanted to replace the old insulation with a system that could provide stronger thermal coverage while also reducing unwanted airflow throughout the home.
Our team removed the outdated insulation and installed spray foam insulation across the exposed roofline and framing cavities. Fiberglass batt insulation was also used in selected wall areas to provide complete coverage based on the layout and insulation needs of each section.
ELM Insulation and Sound Solutions helped us choose the right materials for every part of the home. The house already feels better protected from outdoor temperatures.
The Concern
The home’s previous insulation no longer delivered the coverage or air control the homeowner wanted, leaving portions of the roof and wall assemblies vulnerable to heat transfer and drafts.
The homeowner wanted a more complete insulation system that could reach irregular framing spaces, create tighter coverage, and support more consistent indoor temperatures throughout the finished home.
The Solution
Our crew began by removing the old insulation and preparing the exposed framing for the new installation. This allowed us to inspect each cavity and determine where spray foam or traditional batt insulation would provide the best results.
We then applied spray foam insulation throughout the designated roof and ceiling cavities. Spray foam expands after application, allowing it to fill gaps, follow irregular surfaces, and create a continuous layer that helps limit both heat transfer and air leakage.
Unlike fiberglass batts, which are pre-cut sections placed between framing members, spray foam adheres directly to the surrounding surfaces and forms a tighter seal.
Fiberglass insulation remains useful for accessible, regularly shaped cavities, so we installed it in selected wall sections where it provided dependable coverage and thermal performance.
The Result
The completed insulation system now provides stronger coverage, improved air control, and more dependable thermal performance throughout the home.
The spray foam creates a continuous barrier across the roofline, while the fiberglass batts add effective insulation within the remaining wall cavities.
Using both materials allowed the insulation system to match the construction of each area instead of relying on a single product everywhere.
The home is now better equipped to maintain steady indoor temperatures while reducing unnecessary heating and cooling demands.
ELM Insulation and Sound Solutions proudly provides spray foam and fiberglass insulation services in Azusa—helping homeowners create tighter, more comfortable, and energy-efficient living spaces.
