The Concern

The home was near a busy street, making quiet time difficult. Traffic, neighbors, and inside activity sounds traveled easily through walls and ceilings. The homeowner wanted a solution that would reduce both outdoor and indoor noise, especially around the kids’ rooms.

The Solution

Our team installed a full soundproofing system using mass loaded vinyl (MLV), mineral wool sound insulation, and decoupling with isolation clips and channels.

Decoupling means separating layers of walls or ceilings using isolation special clips and channels. This break in contact helps stop sound vibrations from traveling through the structure. Then, we filled the space with mineral wool for extra sound absorption and added MLV barriers for strong noise blocking.

We also sealed gaps around outlets, vents, and joints to improve overall acoustic performance. Together, these materials worked to drastically reduce noise transfer and create a peaceful home environment.

The Result

The new soundproof system made the home noticeably quieter and more relaxing. Traffic sounds are minimal, and noise between rooms has dropped significantly. The MLV and mineral wool insulation, combined with decoupling, now keep unwanted sounds out and comfort in.
