Attic Duct and Insulation Installation in Artesia 1

Fresh Insulation With Added Rodent Protection

Attic Duct and Insulation Installation in Artesia

At ELM Insulation and Sound Solutions, we recently completed an attic insulation and rodent sealing project in Artesia.

The homeowner wanted to replace aging attic insulation while also addressing openings that could allow rodents to enter the attic and disturb the space.

Our team removed the old insulation and prepared the attic so new fiberglass batt insulation could be installed evenly across the available framing cavities.

We also completed targeted rodent sealing around vulnerable attic openings to create a cleaner, better-protected space while supporting long-term insulation performance.

ELM gave our attic a complete refresh. They removed the old insulation, installed new fiberglass batts, and sealed the areas where rodents could potentially enter. The attic now feels much cleaner and better protected.

The Concern

The attic contained older insulation that had become uneven and was no longer providing the consistent thermal coverage the homeowner wanted.

There were also vulnerable openings around portions of the attic framing and utility penetrations that could provide access points for rodents.

The homeowner wanted to improve insulation performance while making the attic more resistant to pest entry throughout their Artesia home.

The Solution

Our team began by removing the existing attic insulation and clearing the work areas so the space could be properly prepared for the new installation.

We then installed new fiberglass batt insulation throughout the attic, carefully fitting the material between framing sections to create consistent thermal coverage.

Along with the insulation work, we completed rodent sealing around selected openings using durable barriers and sealants designed to close potential entry points without interfering with the home’s necessary systems.

Combining fresh insulation with targeted rodent sealing helps protect the attic from unwanted heat transfer while reducing opportunities for pests to enter and disturb the insulation.

The Result

The completed attic now has new fiberglass batt insulation providing stronger thermal coverage and a cleaner overall insulation system.

Targeted rodent sealing also adds another layer of protection by closing vulnerable openings that could otherwise allow pests into the attic.

With the old material removed and new insulation properly installed, the home is better equipped to maintain stable temperatures while protecting the attic environment.

ELM Insulation and Sound Solutions proudly provides attic insulation and rodent sealing services in Artesia, helping homeowners improve comfort, efficiency, and long-term attic protection.
